Welcome to Where QuickGuide Orlando
Welcome to Where QuickGuide Orlando, formerly Best Read Guide. Morris Visitor Publications' national marketing team has done numerous studies and found that Where is a recognizable name to travelers around the world. With these findings comes the conversion of Best Read Guide to Where QuickGuide. You'll find that the revised format continues to give you the lowdown on the great attractions, tours, restaurants, golf, events, shopping and nightlife this town has to offer ... and more.
On the Shopping Trail: Orlando Premium Outlets
Enjoy the thrill and excitement of finding the world's finest designer labels for less at Orlando Premium Outlets. Located only one mile from Walt Disney World, this beautiful, Mediterranean-inspired village is billed as the area's only true, upscale outlet center.
On the Shopping Trail: Lake Buena Vista Factory Stores
Experience what everyone is talking about: The Lake Buena Vista Factory Stores, one of Orlando's favorite outlet shopping centers. Stores offer factory-direct, premium-quality merchandise, while the center itself offers a free shopping shuttle to and from 49 area participating hotels, VIP group service for prearranged groups of 20 or more and a children's playground.
Visitors Bureau Comes to the Planning Rescue
You're in town for a few meetings, but there also are a couple of open nights on your schedule. You're thinking about taking in a concert, perhaps, but you're also leaning toward a sporting event. To learn more about what might be happening in central Florida during your visit, see the Orlando/Orange County Convention & Visitors Bureau's calendar of events.
Mickey Nearly an Octogenarian
Mickey Mouse made his debut in "Steamboat Willie" at the Colony Theatre in New York City on Nov. 18, 1928. He went on to star in more than 120 different cartoons. Mickey was born out of necessity when Walt Disney discovered he had lost the rights to a previous character, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit. Refusing to work with the Oswald character for less money, Walt instead teamed up with Ub Iwerks to create Mickey Mouse.
