Missouri's first indoor water park is located in Branson at Grand Country Square, a leader for providing the Branson visitor a year-round vacation experience.
"This is an extension of our very popular outdoor interactive water park," said Glenn Robinson, owner of Grand Country Square complex which is home to an inn, 76 Music Hall, two restaurants, shops, and the world's largest banjo.
Splash Country Indoors has a warm country feel with a mining camp theme. Robinson said it complements the present outdoor Eureka Mine which "explodes" every 30 minutes. Each area flows into the other with fun for all ages from the toddlers, who have 2,000 square feet devoted just to them, to the adults who can relax in a spa or float down the leisure river.
"During the colder months, they can experience the comfort of the indoor water park while looking outside at a winter vista," said Robinson, who planned the design to utilize the existing trees and landscape. "As you float the river, the many windows will bring the beautiful outdoors indoors."
Two spas and a three-goal basketball pitching pool are just the start of the climate controlled interactive water park. A multi-level treehouse features various interactive water games, and two giant tube slides add to the thrills.
The indoor water park in another phase in Grand Country's renovation which has included Grand Country Market with the world's largest banjo, Papa Grand's Pizza and Glenn's Frozen Custard. For more information, call (417) 334-3919.
